A Korean menu can be a wall of Hangul, and machine translation turns “addictive gimbap” into “gimbap with drugs”. MenuSum explains each dish in plain English: what's in it, how spicy it is, whether it suits your diet, and how to order it.
How we write the dish pages
Each dish page describes the usual restaurant version, based on common recipes and Korean food references, and the English names follow the official principle of using the Korean name with an English description. Recipes differ between restaurants and regions, so we write “usually” and “often” — and we give you the Korean to ask. If something matters to you, ask before you order.
